Snow Day Musts

This past week most of the US was hit by a major Winter storm (Winter Storm Fern). It was honestly one of the biggest storms we have seen in many years in Northeast OH. All schools shut down, businesses closed, and so much more. 72 hours, 20 inches of snow, and 3 days later, we are slowly getting back to normal! But these days were filled with so much fun and relaxation I thought I would share some ideas of what to do if you are ever snow bound.

1. Exercise

For me, moving my body is extremely important. It makes me feel good, puts my mind in the right place for the day, and is good for my overall physical health. I definitely recommend spending 30 minutes doing some type of workout (pilates, yoga, cardio, or strength training). It will help in many ways!

2. Follow a routine

For me, staying in my routine is very important. I continued doing my makeup and getting ready for the day. I kept the time I got up and went to bed the same time, too. Staying in my routine helped me stay grounded, kept me productive, and kept me ready for when I went back to work in the office.

3. Have some go-to hobbies

Keeping busy while homebound can be a struggle. It is so important to have a few go to activities to keep your mind active, stay busy, and to have some fun! For me, I love reading, binge-watching reality tv (my current obsession is The Traitors), and working on puzzles. These activities allowed me to have some fun and stay busy while being snow-bound.

These past few days honestly kind of reminded me of back when COVID hit. Thankfully, this storm only kept us homebound for a few days. I hope my ideas help inspire you all when you are homebound looking for something to do. Also, comment some of your go-to activities! I love trying new things and hearing other perspectives!
